Penarth carnival

Postby Adrian Coleman » July 10th, 2015, 3:20 pm

Hello.
Yes. I'm sorry it's me again.
Tomorrow is Penarth carnival. Myself and Mrs.C will probably pop over.
Mainly to have a look around of course and also to see the Vulcan bomber fly by.
Reportedly one of its last.
Hopefully it will be a good day. :D

Hello.
We had a very good day. :D
Nice weather, met some nice people and the food was great.
I have to say that it is more of a small comunity sort of affair than a full on floats etc.
Live music though amoungst the stalls on the front .
The Vulcan, Spitfire and Mustang fly bys were fantastic.
Next time we must stay for the fireworks.
Oh and a certain memorial bench is looking good .. :D

I'm not sure Birgit. The carnival and fireworks are the end to the festival which I think goes on for a week or so. As I said, a community effort with music, and arts through out the festival.
I didn't mention the classic car parade or the down hill derby. The latter is not for the feint hearted.
It involves speeding down quite a steep hill in a home made go cart.
